The beginning of your post took me back 50 ye...Ann,
The beginning of your post took me back 50 years ago to France where I am from. This week-end my "little brother" turned 50 and when he was born my sister and I got to extend our vacation at my paternal grand-parents and start the new school year where they lived. These were the best two weeks of primary school I can ever remember. We learned the most wonderful poem and even though I couldn't recite it again, I remember what it said about family and a new child. Like you I cannot recall meeting my brother when we returned home. I have my first memories of him when he is about 9 months old. How funny!
Thanks for the memory.
Annick
annick5424@gmail.comUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14622957456021938836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272459496236959464.post-84754208671641115372010-09-13T12:01:26.073-04:002010-09-13T12:01:26.073-04:00Your story is absolutely wonderful also Carol. The answer ...So glad you shared this special story.
The answer is yes, there is a special memory associated with the color red. It is with my grandmother, my mom's mom. She loved the color red. I remember she had red curtains and a red bed spread on her king sized bed. I was lucky and had my grandparents until I was in my 30's. she loved cardinals, because of their red plumage, those birds were featured in pictures on my grandma's walls all year round. She wore red sweaters, t-shirts, dresses and night gowns. It has been my favorite color for as long as I can remember and I don't see that changing. ;DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
